The Unpleasant Realms by Luna Freya is a fantastic short story book. I was thrilled when the author contacted me on Instagram and invited me to read and review her debut. She informed me that she was a first time author. I’d say is a "fantastic first time author". Luna's imagination tapping into different horrifying realms of gruesome reality beyond the reader's imagination, her stories captured the unimaginative strange monsters showing up on a person's doorstep in the snowy and raining nights hiding a terrifying secret leaving their victims fighting for survival . One of my favorite stories is "Beware the Night Fiction". The short story reminded me of The Black-Eyed Kids written by Rockwell Scott where creepy kids show up to a motel door trying to maniple the little boy to let them in. I recommend reading the book to know why the little boy didn't let the creepy kids in the hotel room. Being a horror and ghost genre fanatic I enjoyed tapping into the creative imagination of Luna Freya.
