I traveled and toured Schuler Books on a Sunday two week ago. Since living in Farmington Hill, Michigan for fifteen year, I've been in Schuler Book twice. The atmosphere is ever bit as lovely as Books-A-Million, and Barnes & Noble. I'd say the books are sort of pricy, but I didn't check out the Book Bargain section. The first time I visited and toured the store there was something missing. What was missing? My second visit told it all. The bookstore now has a beautiful, cozy section, with a "ersatz," (imitation) fireplace. The area displays cozy, carmel leather chairs with decorative pillows, and their bookish items such as books, mugs, gift cards, and more on the fireplace ledge. Since traveling that Sunday in a rush, I couldn't sit and read a book, just to enjoy the atmosphere. I planned to visit the store again in mid-June because I will travel other bookstores distant from my area. Stay tuned for more short traveling tales about Schuler Books!
