The “Bookstore-led Tourism” Approach
Hi book junkies! It’s Friday! I don’t need to repeat having a serious addiction to browsing and buying books. My major addiction is buying bookish items, visiting bookstores and libraries. That’s why I’m called “The Literary Traveler”. I’d say there is something uniquely magical about walking into places inhaling the spices of books, the pages between those glossy and matted covers. Today, I thought about stepping away from my TBR pile to share some of the most interesting, fun-loving, and, unique, bookish bookstores and libraries. Unfortunately, I haven’t came across any individual bookish stores in my area. This means it’s time to travel! I look forward to the spring and summer for most of my book travels. For right now, I’ll travel just about anywhere close to find a book. But for sure a plan to travel to small rural archives to sprawling urban book-nooks, Yeah, let’s chat about where we find our favorite books soon!
The “Library Love Language” Approach
Have you heard of the “Library Love Language” Approach? Me either until now. I’ve always thought that anyone who walks into a library automatically loves it. Is it just me, or are libraries the big-time quiet refuge? I mean, I recently spent an afternoon in my local library’s, Farmington Community Library, surrounded by engaging stacks of books, and pique my curiosity of what’s really on the shelves, you know? What’s like hiding in the dark places with only the book titles and spines to make us nosier. Okay, so I love buying books and haven’t read over half of them on my eight bookshelves in my home “The Traveler’s Bookshelf” is what I call my bookshelves at home. , It's said to say I don't use my library card, though. Today’s post is basically a love letter to the viewers about the places that foster community literacy and house my wildest stories. So my question to you today is “Do you choose a silent browsing area of a library, or the treasure-hunt touch of a secondhand bookstore?”
The “A Conversational Review in a Bookish Chatty Corner" Approach
So, what is the “A Conversational Review in a Bookish Chatty Corner” Approach? I would love to hear your version, but my version of such words is chatting about physical spaces... in a corner. Just look at or imagine images of cozy libraries on Instagram—the ones with the rolling ladders and velvet armchair best seen. Tell me what makes a place feel ‘bookish’ in your view? Is it the smell of coffee, the helpful bookseller, or just the overflowing stack of coming-ins (books)? Share your favorite spots! Drop your favorite bookstore or library in the comments, and tell me why it’s special! If you’re interesting in sharing!
Well, I love chatting with you all today on Books and Coffee with Tamikio. It’s 2:03 in afternoon here and I know most of you tuning in with me already had your coffee. Until next time books junkies and nosy people!
